Mauritius has a long tradition of tea production and the Bois Chéri region has been blanketed by tea plantations since the late 19th century. Visitors will be introduced to the different stages of tea production before enjoying a tasting session in the breathtaking setting of a Chalet. Situated in the Savanne region, Saint Aubin is a 19th century colonial mansion with a vanilla house, flower greenhouse and spice garden. La Vanille Réserve des Mascareignes at Riviere des Anguilles is a 3,500-hectare nature park housing various animal species including Nile crocodiles, monkeys, iguanas and bats, Aldabra tortoises as well as an insectarium, an aquarium, a children’s corner and a fossil museum. The plunging cliffs and crashing waves in the surroundings of Andrea and Gris Gris also make for an awe-inspiring sight.
